Puan Aida Mosira Mokhtar was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Touch ‘n Go on 10 May 2024. She is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ocean Vantage Holdings Berhad and AGX Group Berhad. She also holds directorships in several private companies.

Her professional milestones span across industries such as corporate treasury, asset management, oil & gas, aviation, professional services and management consulting. She has over 20 years’ experience in various senior positions in advisory and strategic roles in the areas of finance (accounting, audit, investment, treasury, fund management, Islamic finance), risk management and strategic planning.  She was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Aberdeen Islamic Asset Management, Chief Financial Officer of Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre (“Iclif”), Vice President of Group Treasury of Malaysia Airlines (“MAS”) and Director of Global Treasury Advisory Services of Deloitte Risk Advisory Sdn Bhd.

She has extensive exposures in the financial and commodity markets which include global bonds, stocks, commodities and money markets in conventional and Shariah-compliant markets. Her strengths include investing and trading in financial markets and hedging risks in crude oil, currencies and interest rates with derivatives. She has vast knowledge in fundamental (macro and micro assessments) and technical analyses, quantitative and market psychology. In addition to corporate experience, she also has entrepreneurial experience in setting up new business ventures.

Her expertise is in treasury, investment (by maximising fund returns), turnround and transformation (by bringing cost savings in turning around and transforming investment and hedging portfolios) and enhancing governance and risk management (by developing and revamping policies and providing solutions in risk management). Her strengths include implementing new business and investment opportunities in markets and products and developing strategies and policies in companies.

Puan Aida Mokhtar has a BSc. (Hons.) Economics (Accounting & Finance) from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), United Kingdom. She is a Fellow Member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) as well as a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP) and a certified Islamic Financial Planner (IFP). She also holds a Certificate in Sustainable Investing (Harvard Business School Online) and is a Certified Trainer (HRD Corp).
